It's that time of year again - exam fever is in the air.

In addition to our regular opening times, the Medical Library will be open from 2.00pm till 6.00pm on Sundays from 8th May till 12th June inclusive.

Hope this helps in some way with the exam preparations, and very best of luck!

UK Stillbirth rate - Cambridge research contributes to evidence base

Research published online by the Lancet gives evidence of stillbirth rates in the UK being higher than in almost every other high-income country.
The UK had about 4,100 stillbirths in 2009 and, with a rate of 3.5 per 1,000 births, was ranked 33rd in a list of 193 countries - down from 26th in 1995.

Only France and Austria ranked lower among high-income nations.

Deduplication and Cancellation of Journals

Deduplication

We continue to deduplicate print journals and move towards electronic journal access. One copy of the print will continue to be held in one of the University libraries, but not in the Medical Library. A list of these titles can be seen here. http://tinyurl.com/medicallibrarydeduplication
Cancellations

Due to continued financial pressures we propose to cancel the following titles. The print copies of these have always been held at the University Library and cancellation is therefore unlikely to affect you. Where online access has also been available, there have been less than 100 downloads in the past year. A list of these titles can be seen here. http://tinyurl.com/medicallibrarycancellations

If you would like to discuss any of the listed titles with us, then please email library@medschl.cam.ac.uk before 28th April 2011.
